CSI Enterprises and Barbara’s Friends Team to Impact Success of Local Celebrity Chef Auction; Record-Breaking Proceeds Benefit Southwest Florida Children with Cancer

Bonita Springs, FL – When the charity committee of CSI Enterprises agreed to be the Title Sponsor of the Rumrunners Celebrity Chef Auction in Cape Coral, they knew their involvement would make an impact on the community. What they may not have realized was the magnitude of that impact.

The 10th annual Rumrunners Celebrity Chef Night, which benefits the Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida, broke all records the night of August 22, according to the Cape Coral Daily Breeze.  More than $250,000 was raised – a 150% increase over last year’s event. Proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit Barbara’s Friends, an organization committed to providing resources and assistance to pediatric oncology and hematology patients at the Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida.

The Rumrunners Celebrity Chef Auction is another opportunity for CSI’s culture of giving to transcend from the office into the community. During any given week, CSI employees can be found impacting the world around them. For example, while a dozen employees were involved in helping to make the Rumrunners event a success, others had been involved in recent weeks collecting much-needed donations for local food pantries and animal shelters.

As CSI’s Ryan Smith shared with a reporter during the Rumrunners event, “As a local business in the area for 25 years, we have been very touched and thrilled to be part of a local organization that is doing so much for Lee County. We have a great enthusiasm for what the hospital is bringing to the area with the new children’s hospital and the work that Barbara’s Friends has done…We had a great time and were thrilled to be a part of a great night for such a worthy cause.”
